PSP with 3.71 M33-4.. any need to upgrade firmware?

The two main homebrew apps I use are Snes9xTYL and NesterJ. Im wondering if a) IF I add more homebrew wil I need to upgrade firmware and b) if I upgrade the firmware will my current apps continue to work?

I appreciate any help you guys can offer!

there's no need, and they should continue to work, but newer umd games will not work with that cfw.

if it's just for emulators, then yours should work forever lol

Don't fuck around if it's working for you. Like thesexyone said, you really only need to update if you wanna play newer UMDs. If you want to anyways, its very simple and you really shouldn't have a problem.

I rather thought so "if it aint broke, don't fix it" is usually my philosophy. SO the only advantage for later CFW is to play newer UMD games?

The only UMD games I will be playing are final fantasy and I beleive they work with my current FW. If I'm not experiencing problems Ill stick with my current.
