help on building computer
well i have recently decided i want to build a computer
Here are some of the parts i found for building my own PC, i still need a CD/DVD Drive and the RAM which for right now i am not too sure which ones to get. If you want, you can take a look at some of these parts and maybe recommend better ones or maybe give me an idea of what else i can buy MOBO CPU Case HD Video Card Power Supply Monitor My choice of optional sound card
EDIT: oh and also, if you maybe prefer IMing over this stuff instead of posting, feel free to add me

the 750 watt psu is overkill for what the system has.
400 watt should be plenty (unless you plan on upgrading anything later)
heres a better processor for the same price (and a more reliable reseller) Newegg.com - AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Brisbane 2.6GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM2 65W Dual-Core Black Edition Processor - CPUs / Processors
use coupon code CPU628 to make it the same price
the HDD is nice for the price
the case is far too much. There was recently a deal with this exact case and 400watt psu for $69 shipped on fatwallet
thats about all i can comment on |

thanks man, a friend of mine talked to me about getting a motherboard (think it was like SVI SLI something like that) where you can have like a dual graphics card something, i cant remember exactly what he said, but yeah anyone know how that works?
and drew, how long will i have to use that code? because i dont have the money to order all these parts at once, but if i have a limited time to use that code, i may have to buy it soon and store it in a safe place till i get all the parts

SLI (and the ATI equivalent CrossFire) basically split the work of rendering video over the two (or four if you buy a specially built computer) video cards, allow the each of the cards to either do half the work at twice the speed, or work at near full speed and produce an even better picture. Of course, with an 8500, it's kind of overkill unless you're running Crysis.

Well, it's good to have a board that supports SLI, but you don't really need two cards unless you're going to play games at maxed out settings on a large monitor or do heavy video editing and rendering.

I was gonna say get a Gigabyte mobo too. They seem to be really popular atm.
Wouldnt you want a DVD drive instead of a CD drive?
