So I installed ubuntu on my pc and I have a few issues. I forgot too keep a windows portion and my hard drive is a bit fucked. I tried to to reinstall vista but the hard drive isn't formatted right and I don't know what do do. Is there anyway to fix my hard drive? If not I was thinking of getting a new one since mine is only about 250 gigs and SATA drives are a piece of cake to install.

i think if it wont let it install with that disk then you'd have to get a new one, doesn't the vista installer disk have an option to format the drive?

I tried using it but it said the drive wasn't valid or something I'm looking for another way to format my drive for windows vista.

ok, got assess to another computer? take the drive out and format with with a windows pc and maybe that might do it

no no, what i mean is to take your drive out and put it in another compatible pc with windows and format it with that, then put it back in your computer and install it

no that wont work, youd have to use a actual vista os pc to format i think
