Okay guys ive been haveing this computer problem for EVER! It boots up and stuff normaly(sometimes), and all of a sudden when your in the middle of something its like the colour crashes, it just goes to the LOWEST resolution and lowest colour(lower then 16 bit) I cant set the colour and resolution I have to restart my computer. Ive tryed reformating and downloading new drivers but the problem still remains.

Does it have anything to do with my video card?

Help me please this problem is very annoying.

it might check online for the newest drivers for ur card

or do a system restore to along time ago and see if it works

go to run and type in "prefetch" delete those files

ive had those files delted and it fixed alot of problems w/ stuff

Try to reseat the video card in a different slot and see what happens. Reseating is a MF'er for weird problems like that...

I don't see how deleting prefeth could help this: prefetch files are made the first time windows runs a .exe file. THey contain data that theoreticallymakes the app faster to run next time you start it. The only thing deleting them can do is make your pc faster on startup
