    I am currently using a Verizon XV6700 Pocket PC. It has WMP built in, plus the ability to download other media player apps. The camera is 1.3MP...not great, but still not that bad for a phone. It also comes with one hell of a flash for the camera that acts like more of a flash light. It will literally light up a movie theater...lol :P

    I know that sprint also carries this phone. It will probably be going under the name PPC 6700 or something similar.

    Here's what I did. I got the "Pay as you go" data plan. Once you get the phone, Goto

    Start -> Settings -> Connections -> Connections

    You will see the data connection on that screen for whatever carrier you have. Hold down the stylus on the data connection until the menu comes up, then select delete.

    Done....now you can connect to wifi without the worry of being charged
    The only downside is that you cannot connect to whatever sprints data connection is

    Honesly, this method will work...but if you want to be able to get on the net whenever, the extra ~$40 a month is worth it.

    I'm in the market for a new phone myself since Ampd went bankrupt(idiots). Looking at the Helio Heat, Looks pretty good. Might consider for a Nextel though for the free incomming calls plan.

    Nextel phones are kinda pricey even the cheap Mf's too. unless you have alotta friends that have one it not worth it. The direct connect is great but the cell service itself is ok > bad at times. You can Use the SPrint network for cell call and use DC for non fphone calls but I was told you have to be as a buissness plan or something like that.

    Sprint doesn't really have that great of a selection of phones. Most of the nice ones are very pricey and not IMO worth it.
    T-Mobile has some nice phones for free that will give you a combo of MP3, Camera, and Wifi. Go to a store and ask them for the HTC smartphone. My friend got it for free from them.

    Also, when I got my phone from ATT, I was thinking to use it as an MP3 player... however, after about two weeks I stopped because it drains your battery like CRAZYYY. Just a heads up on that.
