Im going to use it for web browsing and traveling, wondering what i can get and do you know any good cheap online shops that I could find one.

Either in the UK or USA that ship over.

Specs, 512MB, 80GB HDD, erm thats about it.

    quick recommendation:
The Dell Online Store: Build Your System
    upgrade the processor a notch
go for windows xp, not vista
    maybe bring down the warranty
screen - truelife is glossy which makes it nice for movies but bad for bright areas (i.e. outside)
    DEFINITELY get the 9cell battery

    Should be something like this:
    AMD® Athlon™ 64 X2 Mobile Technology TK53
Genuine Windows® XP Home Edition - English
Base Warranty - 1 Year Business Hardware Support
    15.4" Wide Screen WXGA (1280 x 800) Display
    1024MB 533MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2x512]
    80GB (5400rpm) SATA Hard Drive
ATI Radeon® Xpress 1150 HyperMemory (integrated)
Fixed Internal 8x DVD/24x CDRW Combo Drive With Software
    9 cell Lithium-Ion Battery (85 Whr)

    £269 exc VAT & shipping

TigerDirect has been pretty shady in my experience. The rebates are often impossible to claim and the deals actually arent that great. NewEgg is far better, IMHO. For something as major as a PC, I'd go right to the manufacturer.

I order from tigerdirect all the time, bought ram harddrive dvd burner and video card, all cheaper then newegg and shipped within 3 days on standard shipping.. And the video card rebate was sent to my email, I just filled it out and sent it to visiontec and 2 days later got it..
