    so which is better?
Apple is more reliable but has less games
Windows has more games but less stable - mine keeps crashing

also could you play games on apple that dont give specs for apple on the back?

Thx to Canada2113 and MajorZero for the sigs!

    That's not really a question...
    Windows.

Windows isn't the "stability problem", that'd be your computer.
If you want a good "reliable" computer, and a useful gaming OS, get a mac and dual-boot XP.

    Pirate is correct.
I do a little gaming on windows but i've never had a crash unless i was running unstable game mods.

    My vote: Windows
    Very funny....not.

Get a Mac and run Windows on it through Bootcamp. That way you've got Apple quality and Windows compatibility when you need it.

You have to play games on PC. It's all about the video card and the apple is always a few generations behind in video processing. Also, keep your PC lean (Don't fill it up with crap and have all kinds of junk load during startup.) and it will be stable. My XP and Vista machines are rock solid and never have any issues, none of them. Macs are fun too though, they look and feel great, they just don't play high end games well.

Netflex, you could definitely game on that box.
I would suggest loading a stripped down version of windows like TinyXP or Vista Lite for gaming. It keeps the OS nice and lightweight so most of your power can be used for games.

7800 is an nVidia number. Are you sure it's an ATI card? 7800GT is a good nVidia card.

    vista sucks go XP

    ati sucks go nvidia

and on a serious note, ASROCK is asus' VALUE LINE for servers and business

buy the normal asus boards, preferable an Nforce board with an AMD processor

I must agree that nvidia is better than ati. I love nvidia. They also play nice with linux, which is always a plus. But thats not the point of this thread...
Mightyeddy, you planning on getting a pc for gaming in the near future?

You know there going to stop support for XP...I got Vista Ultimate and it has conveniece unserpassed by any other Operating system. I love XP when it was new but people its time to move on, sure the betas sucked but didnt XP's Whistlers beta suck too? And I better not hear anyone say 98se is the best cause you all are living in the past...i don't care what apple can do either, they can burn in hell for all I care...I'll hate them and their iPods with a passion til' i Die! EXPESSIALLY LEOPARD! God Damn iDiots! JOIN THE AntiMac MOVEMENT! Linux is cool though....

Calm down buddy. Xp support is going to be pulled in like a year or 2, so its no big deal. People seem really pissed about ms pulling xp support. I thought it was kind of obvious that after a new product comes out the older one would lose support after a while. Nobody bitched this bad when ms stopped updating 95.
Apple only bothers me because of how closed source and proprietary it is. But some people are happier when their os makes all the choices for them.

I still use 98se, I still think it's one of the most stable OS's of all time not to mention all the little extra's that can be added.

But the XP to Vista bit, Even when XP loses its support from MS, people will use it regardless of Vista.
