    hi all this is just a forum for all you "newbie" psp owners that dont understand an ounce of what we are sayin
    this is a work in progress so if you have any suggestions contact me
    after i put your word in the forum please delete your post
    Emulator: a program that "emulates" or replicates a gaming console

    Firmware: basicly the operating system for the psp, 1.0 lets you run emulators and other Homebrew Games, 1.5 also lets you do so using a program called Kxploit

    Firmware Downgrade: there Isn't one so stop asking about it

    Firmware Upgrade: a way to update your firmware to version 1.52, currnetly it does not allow for the use of homebrew to work and recently released games like Midnight Club 3: Dub edition force you to upgrade

    File Extentions: the type of file that something is" emulators work with different file extentions so here they are
    MAME=.zip
    Genisis=.bin or .smd
    Gamegear=.gg
    SNES=.smc
    Gameboy/color=.gb or .gbc

    Homebrew: homemade games such as blackjack or an emulator like SNESx9, run on 1.0 and 1.50

    PBP: the file extention for eboots that run games (Eboot.pbp)

    ROM: stands for read only memory, for psp purposes it is games for emulators

    SEARCH BUTTON: Its your friend use it before asking a question

    USB: stands for universal serial bus, can be used as a connector for various items such as printers, mouses, keyboards, mp3 players and, everybodies favorite, the PSP

    Web Portal: a website that has links to many other sites (ex. the psp side of pspwebbrowser.com)

    WEP: stands for Wireless Encryption Protection, basicly a way to make your wifi accessible to those with the code only

    WI-FI: stands for wireless fidelity (wireless Internet)

    Wireless Router: A piece of hardware that takes you internet connection (DSL or Cable) and turns it into a signal that any device using a wireless adapter or antennae can access, usually the signal lasts for 50 to 150 feet

    PBP is a thing called an extention. It comes after the period (.) in a filename and denotes what kind of file it is. In this case .PBP means it will boot from the PSP. It is insignificant unless you are doing programming.
    There's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

    Project Gotham Racing 2 - best "Racing" game, also best online multiplayer.
    Forza Motorsport follows very closely behind as a perfect blend of sim and racer. Awesome game.

    Would mention Gran Turismo 3 & 4 but just cant be classed as a Racer. Huge fan of them mind you since day one.

    I don't have a PS2, so I can't comment too much on Gran Turismo. But if we exclude PS2, then the best racing game yet is Forza Motorsport on the Xbox.

    Toca Race Driver on the PS1 was also amazing during its day.

    Now I'm just waiting for GT4 to come out on the PSP, and for Forza Motorsport 2 to come out on the Xbox 360!
