I saw that a few days ago. It looks pretty sweet. I wont be switching from firefox unless Chrome supports addons like firefox (they may have mentioned this in the comic, i havent read the whole thing yet).
Surfing without AdBlock makes my eyes burn, so hopefully google has an open extension dev kit. Hopefully the mozilla team "borrows" a large amount of Chrome's code for Firefox 4.
    Very funny....not.

They tout their "new tab page" as something innovative but its basically opera's speed-dial. It seems like they are taking Opera and Firefox and mashing them together. If they support 3rd party addons then i will use it.

That is bookmarks, this is SEPARATE from bookmarks, just visited pages, you don't have google bookmarked but it could appear there.

Did you guys even read up on how advance this is? 38 comics they have.

each tab has it's own process, meaning each website (with a plugin as well) has it's own process, if one of those crash, the browser stays up.

it's all javascript so each tab does not and cannot interfer with another tab/site, no pop ups etc.

it's all loaded as a process, rather then memory, this way when you hit close it's gone, and the memory can be reused.

the new tab page shows your 9 most visited sites, and searches, and there is a mode so for privacy, nothing will be saved on a tab, so as soon as you close the tab, no cookies, memory, cache, browser history can be restored.

it's really a complex browser, but it's really far more advanced then firefox, as soon as this comes out i am getting it.

I've had firefox 3 crash once. I'd rather deal with a crash every month than lose my AdBlock plugin. If Opera supported 3rd party add-ons i would be using it instead of firefox.
If someone visits a site alot chances are its going to be one of their bookmarks, so the "new-tab page" doesnt really impress me at all. Yeah, its nifty and junk, but i'd rather have a static list based on what pages I want on my new tab page. Right now my page is blank though, i dont care for all that fancy junk. :P

Well no, I have bookmarks that I have just so I can remember it for a few days, or will want to watch again in like 2 weeks with a friend.

And they will have plugins, and I'm assuming someone would include an adblock plugin, if not I'm sure google probably has a very good popup blocker included.

the tab can probably be disabled.

it definitely runs smoother then firefox since it's a process and not running off just ram.

Theres not a osx beta, is there? I dont surf in windows too much so it would be pointless for me to grab the windows beta.

    No, quiet the opposite.

It runs perfect because it's all processes instead of one huge process, the whole thing runs smooth and never lags, not matter what you're doing.

Whenever I visit a site my entire browser just freezes and a minute later it'll ask to kill it.
