Well hweres the thing, ive been running psp firmware 4.01 M33 for a while now and just today while I was playing an ISO of the Metal Slug Anthology, my psp starts to wig out, the character starts stops moving and the home menu popped up repeatedly, I did a hard restart and then NONE of the buttons worked except for the volume and the screen brightness button. I think its the firmware because I could go into the recovery mode and move about normally and when you go to the XMB the buttons quit working. But not the buttons don't work EVEN in the recovery mode.

    soooo...can you guys help me?

Hi I am having the exact same problem you describe.
I first flashed to 4.01 m33-2 and it worked fine. About 1 hr into play time all the buttons except volume and backlight stopped working. I then made another mms, reflashed 4.01 m33-2 exactly the same way as frosthax described and same problem. However if I reflash 4.01 OFW the buttons work fine. I tried using 3.90 and same thing. OFW works fine but not m33. Seems like somehow my PSP doesn't work anymore once it has been hacked. However it always works when I revert back to OFW.

    Thanks!

well, i fixed my problem...to an extent, turns out that that after playing metal slug my Mobo whaked out and stopped responding. I opened it and accedentally caused a short circuit and caght my psp on fire and after that my psp is okay! It was a freak incident but it fixed it, the only thing wrong with it now is that the orange charge light stays on ALL the time. but thats okay =)

now that i think about it (for those who have the same problem) move around the ribbon wires connecting the game pads WITHOUT a metal object and see if that works
