    Alright,

I have a xbox 360 and I want to run Media Center Edition on my computer. I've gotten an Media Center Edition XP to MCE rollup Iso from another source and I created a bootable cd with that image file. Now when I go to boot my computer with it, it says "missing Operating System" anyone know what this is? I can't figure it out.

I also got an XP Ultimate Iso. I tried that and it ways the same thing. "Missing Operating System".

I tried using Daemon Tools but I get halfway and it says that I'm missing "arp15a5d.sys" I don't know what these wystem files are but I'm missing them.

At this moment I'm running Windows XP Professional 2002 service pack 3.

    Any one have any ideas?

STFU! youre just trying to up your post count. fucking stupid.... -_-" He didnt ask you specifically...

    Now flashcheetah:

Have you formatted your harddrive? I cant quite gather if you have or not yet?
Usually the "missing operating system" message can mean your master boot record is corrupt. to fix it:

Make sure your BIOS is set to boot from CD first, before hard disk.

Put your boot CD in and enter XP recovery console, when it comes to select which OS, enter the number next to XP, and press enter.

once youve done that, type the admin password when asked.

Now type "fixmbr" (no quotation marks) and press enter.

once thats done, take out the CD, type exit, then press enter to restart the computer.

Now this should let you into XP again, to re-burn your media center disc.
It might not be burnt correctly, or its a corrupt ISO.

Remember the BIOS needs to be set to boot from the CD first to install an OS.

Well with media center, the rollup is like a service pack, not the whole operating system.

Just download an OEM media center 2005 edition.

(btw, vista works a lot better with media center connection with the 360).

I've got an HP oem edition of windows media center (genuine). Just look around.

and do what andro said, fix your master boot record.
