help!!

hey for the past week or so my pc has been doin some weird stuff. sometimes i shut it down and it doesnt shut dwn. it satays on by background page and doesnt do anything even if i hit the power button on my pc. i have to unplug it. also sometimes internet explorer's links dont work. i google somrthing and click one of the answers but the screen just flashes really quick and stays on the same page. it also doesnt let me right click in folders. any ideas on how to fix this and if it's a virus or anything? thanx

run a virus scan? spyware too while youre at it. also delete any pr0n you might have...

for spyware you standard antivirus software might not work try lavasoft its free and fast. Also if you do not have an up to date antivirus program use AVGfree. If these do not detect anything try using a restore point to get to an earlier configuration.

I don't know a system scan could be easy and quicker than a complete system wipe that's a drastic measure

well thanx for the help. it found a few viruses except it wiped out some needed system files. when i start my pc it says ntldr is missing. now all i have is my psp

do this get your operating system instillation cd's and reinstall

nvm i got it fixed with a boot cd
