    Ok heres the story......
My son has a PSP Phat, it has custom firmware M33 I think dont know much about it my brother did it for me. I did the R tab and got the recovery menu and thats what it showed. Anyway my son dropped the psp and now it wil only work when plugged in without the battery. It will not power up with battery in and no power cord. With battery in and power cord it will only stay on approx. 3-5 min, then shuts off. With battery removed and power corded, it it will work fine for ever. I took it to have someone look at the insides to check for damage to board or anything visable, and found nothing.
So what do I do next?

Perhapes you could buy a second hand battery from a local gaming store to easily rule out a damaged battery (if your lucky they may just let you test one for a few minutes.)

Otherwise you can try some of the more difficult things right away like opening the psp up and looking for any loose connections. I'll defer the harder stuff to the pro's however.

As stated above I already took it somewhere to have it checked for any visable damage and looseness, and he found nothing.
    thanks for the reply!

If they give you a receipt then yes but there's a chance that you wont get a full refund
