12-12-2009, 01:55 AM I use Nero for burning several video formats to DVD. I don't have too much expierence with Xvid, but .avi and .mpg I use often with it. It usually takes about 2-2.5 hours total. Could be less. Most of the time spent is just transcoding as burning doesn't take much longer than 3 minutes.
12-12-2009, 02:42 AM Agreed. Nero Vision works well for converting many video files to DVD. I use it ALL the time for the movies that I have. Usually takes about an hour an a half to transcode and maybe 8 minutes to burn to the DVD...
Or if you don't care about making DVD menus and all that jazz then Nero Express will work fine, too...
