I love Advice Dog, but saw this one:

And didn't get it. I'm into computers, but have no clue what the joke is behind "Rename to .js." Is it like telling noobs on pc games to "connect to 127.0.0.1?"

Sorry for the size, by the way.

Trust me, it works. I hate scams, too. The only thing is that it takes a while to get a lot of SwagBucks, and you need a lot to get the good stuff.

That's what I thought, but didn't get the "shit bricks" part. I'm learning java in school, actually. Why would renaming a file to .js make you shit bricks?

What are we looking at? Image not working. Also 127.0.0.1 is the localhost, ie you, or "home".

127.0.0.1 is your own computer. If you send anything to that address, it comes back to you. Rename to .js means copy the code into notepad, save it as a .js (javascript file) and run it. You need to set the extension type to "All Files" when you're saving it, otherwise it'll be a text file no matter what you choose.

the "Rename to .js, SHIT BRIX" is a reference to spam on 4chan. the spam posts a grey box and says that the picture is epic, and in order to see it you need to save the file and rename it to a .js. after doing so when you open the file it actually just creates more of the posts on 4chan with the grey boxes telling more people to save them and do the same thing. it basically then floods the servers from so many people doing it and the site goes down for a few hours for cleanup
