Clipping masks aren't limited to what I've shown so far. You can use them to change a color of a certain aspect of something without affecting all of what you've done so far. I use clipping masks in about EVERY sig I make. They are just powerful little tools. Just think of them as your pocket rockets.

Even though this sig is quite the oldie, its one of my favorites. You can clearly see where I've used clipping masks. In my new ones, you can't really tell.

This is a simple sig that I made using mainly clipping masks. This isn't real recent, but it has some cool techniques hidden along in there. Read up, you can learn a little somethin.

This isn't going to say that all sigs that are centered look bad, but it pretty much explains that it would be more appealing if you moved it closer to a zone rather than have it centered. I've seen some great centered sigs, but you'd have to work a bit harder to give them that wow factor than a sig that follows the Rule of Thirds a bit closer. This is more or less something that is pretty much accepted through all forms of art.
