As the title says, I am building my own PC. I want it with this specifications but idk what brand or model to get. There are like 1000 quad-core processors and another 1000 grahpic cards and I dont know which one to get. Can you please help me?

    - 3 or 4 cores AMD processor
    - A compatible mother board (Non-integrated intel graphics please)
    - 2Gb of RAM
    - 500Gb HDD
    - 512Mb graphic card (Nvidia or ATI)
    - I dont care about the monitor, mouse, etc. I can buy those later. I just want the CPU.

The most essential aspects for me are the graphic card and processor. I want something good because I can upgrade the RAM and HDD later but the other ones are really expensive. So, any advice?

BTW, I cant buy on the internet. I dont live in the USA and I dont wanna pay for shipment. Besides, not all the sites deliver international.

the internet part is what will have you paying more, bro. amd and ati will give you more bang per buck

a nice card (high settings and full speed at 720p pretty much guaranteed) will cost you no more 75 online, try looking for a hd 5670

get the AMD quad core if your wanting to go with AMD as your processor, Intel I5 or I7 if you want to spend some money, and keep em cool.

OK, so a quad-core it is. But which one should I get? there are like 3 diferent models. AMD Phenom II X4 Black, AMD Athlon II X4, AMD Phenom II X4, etc. BTW, I dont have too much money, so which processor is a good option without being the best quad-core processor?

Now, about the graphic card. It will be ATI. The HD 5670 thesexyone mentioned looks like a good option. Any other opinions?

And what motherboard should I get? I think a motherboard with an integrated sound card will save me some money and they are pretty good for what I need.

i dont think youll find one with a "integrated sound card" although you can find them cheap. my sound blaster live cost me 20 bucks years ago. higher-end ones probably speed things up A BIT but usually not worth the money.

just look at the cpu speed and price. for a new one, you might as well get a phenom, idk the difference about the black edition, so check that out

i guarantee you you'll never find, to this date, a better deal than the 5670 unless someone throws a random clearance due to bankruptcy. it's simply the best bang per buck deal out there. ive come to see that the radeon 6800 just came out however, so see if there's a new series

Just a heads up. A tri-core is just a quad-core with a defective core that they lock down to prevent from being used. Not making it up, you can Google it.

    1) I have an AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0 GHz. Great processor. If you can shell out a lot more money, you can get a Core i7 but a Phenom II X4 is as good, if not better.
    2) Secondly, you want 4GB of RAM, not 2GB, especially if you're going to game or just want a smooth experience.
    3) Grab Windows 7 Home Premium or higher, 64-bit. 32-bit is getting obsolete and 64-bit edition runs 32-bit applications perfectly. On top of that, you'll want to take advantage of your processor's 64-bit architecture. And if you want to be able to use 4GB or more, you'll need to be running 64-bit edition.
    4) I prefer Nvidia GPUs, but ATi is owned by AMD and are generally cheaper in cost. If you go ATi, I say 5770 or higher.
    5) All motherboards will give you sound, you don't have to worry about that. The one I have has built in HD Dolby 7.1 built in.

I still have the box. I'll tell you which one I have a little later.

So far this is my new PC. I am not a hardcore player and my wallet is not so big eighter, so 512Mb is fine for me.

    Processor: AMD phenom II X4
    Motherboard: Pending
Graphics: ATi radeon HD 5670 512Mb
    RAM: 4Gb
HDD: 500Gb or 320Gb (depending on the price)
OS: Windows 7 home premium 64-bit

    Anything else?

Lol the 4200 is what's built into my motherboard. But it's not used because I have my 9400 GT installed. Reason I have this card is because a friend sold it to me cheap. I'll upgrade when I feel like it because all I really play is Valve games, which don't really need that much more power than I've given them.

Chepe, if you arent a PC gamer or if you dont use graphic intensive programs, then you can get by with a dual core processor. AMD 64x2 can be found for under 50 bucks, I just got one for 20 bucks. Its a 3.0 ghz AMD athlon 64 and it will replace my 2.6 ghz AMD athlon. 2 gigs of RAM is fine but its a good idea to get a MOBO that supports more RAM if you decide to upgrade later. I guess the point I'm trying to make is that if you have limited funds and no way to purchase items online, then your over-taxing yourself on stuff you probably will never need.
