Call me stupid but i dont do a lot of dowloading, and i'm not stupid enough to download a virus.

I hope you atleast use a firewall? Otherwise you're a risk of a hell of a lot, no matter how safely you think you're browsing the web.

true, but without anti virus you can so much speed, that's one reason why MACs fly

Yes i have a firewall.
I use glary's utilities to delete any spyware now and then.

You're saying that having an A/V system makes the internet go slower? Or your PC? Because that's not true on both counts, unless for the latter you have a really old/slow PC.

killer anti virus systems consume quite a large amount of ram and memory, its just the nature of the system, don't believe me? uninstall yours and clock the performance

AVG ANTI VIRUS WARNING

Heads up guys...

AVG Anti Virus is NOT our Friend...

FACT:

I have a Keygen for a certain program that I‘ve used many times.
All the Sudden, AVG reported it as having a Virus...

I first thought is was just a delayed Definitions issue.
But the more I thought about it, the program I was using, Never
gave me a problem. And this is not the first time AVG has done this
with Keygens and Patches.

So, I used a different computer Without AVG and ran the Keygen,
I also scanned the Keygen with Panda and Norton Anti Virus. No Virus Found.

After running the Keygen, it worked Fine and I wrote the Key produced
down on paper and tried it on the first computer. It Worked Fine.

I then re-scanned the computer that produced the Key with both (up to date)
Panda and Norton, AGAIN... No Virus Found and the System Works Fine.

AVG is a Good Anti Virus program. BUT, apparently AVG is taking it
upon themselves to be our Moral Police. USERS BEWARE...

Not only did AVG report this Keygen as having a Virus (it does Not)
it completely DISABLED it. Made it unusable on the first computer.

AVG is deciding (without your knowledge or approval) what they will lie about and what they will DISABILE on your personal property...

I‘m done with this BS Software and that BS Company...

Its up to you... Just letting you know what happened to me...

USERS BEWARE...

Obviosly they do, but like i said if you've got a modern PC with enough RAM and a fast enough processer it won't slow your PC down significantly that you'd notice.

Two simple options:

1. Don't download warez with keyloggers
2. Check the comments on the site you get the warez from that the keylogger is defintely safe, then disable the resident shield before trying to run it.

Really not rocket science.

yeah really its not the systems fault keygen software is illegal so if you know its a problem just leave it alone, avg is nice enough to offer good shit for free so don't bitch when it tries to stop you from pirating
