Question IND file

Hi there Everyone -

I hope someone is able to help me!!

I am running Windows Vista. When putting my PSP on USB mode to upload some music from my laptop, the PSP folders(music, photos etc.) was not there, yet an icon ( looking like a blank page) was there instead with the file extension ''.ind''

I searched google and got as far as to create the ''MP ROOT'' folder but after creating it, windows asked me if I would like to replace this file as it already exists. I also tried the tools, options method and then clicked '' show hidden files'' but yet no joy -

I hope any one of you can give me help on this problem!

Yours sincerely

MP_ROOT is a placeholder homebrew makers use to say "put everything under here into the root of the mem stick."

What you need to do is put your mem stick inside your PSP and then start it up.

Go to System -> System Settings -> and then choose "Format Memory Stick".

This will format it completely and it should most definitely fix the problem.

Okay thanks, I will try that - but just to confirm - when i will format my mem stick - would it not delete all the data I have on it now like my music and photos?

Nope, two differentt things. MP_ROOT is the folder you used to have to create to get videos to play, the thing people say a lot is just the memory stick root directory, which is the first folder you come to when you open your memory stick.

Yes it will. I don't see what you have to lose since you say you can't access these things anyway.
