I decided that i wanted to build a computer from scratch and considering that this is my first time building one, i wanted to make sure that all these parts check out with each other. Note that i'm not really trying to build some "powerful" computer that costs well over 1k. I just need you to check to see if all this will work together:

(I have everything from the keyboard, mouse, monitor, and speakers. This just deals with the computer tower internally.)

    Case
Newegg.com - APEVIA X-Gear ATXB5KLW-GN Green Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case ATX 420W for AMD/Intel Power Supply - Computer Cases

*Case comes with power supply and fans*

    CPU/Motherboard Bundle
Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!

    HDD
    Newegg.com - Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST3320418AS 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive - Internal Hard Drives

I'm not buying an internal DVD drive because i have a USB external CD/DVD/Lightscribe drive already and i also have RAM. The only thing i didn't choose was a graphics card. If you could recommend a relatively cheap but decent one i would really appreciate it. Anything else i'm missing? Do you think this work successfully? All feedback will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

What is your current RAM? That may not be compatible. Everything else you've listed is though. As for a GPU, what is your budget?

My preference on the gpu would be an ATI radeon crossfire X. As with this gpu you can connect it with other crossfire X gpu's and they would work simultaneously. Depending on how many PCIe 2.0 slots you have on your mobo, which I didnt look at.

One, so that is no good. I'd agree on the ATI Radeon route though. Depending on your budget you could get the same one i have, a HD4850 which plays all modern games with relative ease at 1440x900 resolution, or if that is too costly which ever one you can afford, 4670 maybe.

He'll need a better power supply to use a 4870.

My current RAM right now is a two 512mb sticks. My budget for the GPU is i'm lookin for a decent but not too high in price one. Like the $60 to $100 range.

But what type is it? DDR? DDR2? What Mhz?

As for the GPU, go for this then -
Newegg.com - MSI R4850-2D1G OC Radeon HD 4850 1GB 256-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards 99$ after rebate or if that is too much, this:

    Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100256HDMI Radeon HD 4670 1GB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

It's DDR but it should work with that motherboard, right?

your board has onboard gpu... wouldn't trust it personaly

and the older geforce cards are good budget cards

But that all depends on amount you want to spend...

If your not a gamer stick with the on board (probably 64-128MB) or get a cheap 256mb video card

And get some ram you know will be compatible

But since i don't know your budget or intents with it i can't really give more info

And unless you biased to green I would suggest this case
Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER Elite 310 RC-310-BKR2-GP Black with blue front panel Steel Body / ABS plastic front bezel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 420W Power Supply - Computer Cases
Cooler master in general usually have better build quality (nothing compared to lian li though but there expensive though)

Nope, that board only takes DDR2. You should be able to get 4GB DDR2 800mhz PC-6400 pretty cheaply.
