well, frankly, your processor sucks. it sure as hell woudn't make use of 2gb ram. i suggest you save up more and buy a new pc altogether.

sources: my pc has amd 2ghz dualcore, win7, 4gb ram and a ati radeon 4200 which runs exactly 4x faster than the geforce 6150 (i had a laptop with that and i benchmark my machines) and it barely runs mw1 at lowest graphics POSSIBLE and it still won't run full speed in each case.

edit: i'd recommend either one of these 2 video cards:
    Newegg.com - XFX HD-465X-YAF2 Radeon HD 4650 512MB 128-bit DDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100292L Radeon HD 5450 (Cedar) 1GB 64-bit DDR2 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Low Profile Ready Video Card

i suggest you google for benchmark scores between these 2 ati models. you'll find that ati will give you more bang for the buck nowadays.

as long as that motherboard has an appropriate PCI-E slot for the video card, then of course that will make a fine gaming machine.

dude, i told you in my first post. you need to google to see which one's better tho. also, any pc would run those games, the question is how well.

that level of cards will run this generation's games at about 720p and medium-high detail. so don't worry about that.

some basic info for you, the 2 most important factors in computer gaming are Processor and Graphics Card, but there is good news, while keeping your graphics card up to date with the latest games can be a real bitch, processing power is different. Most games still measure processing power in single core reqs, but since almost all PCs are multicore these days you're already ahead of the curve. A dual core should handle most any game you throw at it, but if you wanna splurge go for quadcore, as for graphics, pick the best in your price range, because they are constantly upping graphics req.

forget what geek just said except the importance of cpu and gpu, if that's a laptop you can't upgrade it, and its current card is 2x the speed of the 6150, but still sucks ass. it will run oblivion at low resolution at best. and half life 2. but no more.

so like i said, save up and build a better pc.

ps. can you check the mhz speed of your ram on the 1st pc? maybe you can salvage those for a newer one, but a mix-match ram setup will have all ram run at the crappiest ram stick's speed, leaving newer ones running slower than they should.

Hey man, I was having the same problem as you... Low budget, half decent stuff, and half crappy as hell stuff..
Give me some information and I can maybe hook you up with some parts you should check out...
Answer these questions if you can - about the first, desktop PC...
    What is the motherboard model?
What type of RAM do you have, and what speed is it?
If you know it, what kind of Power Supply do you have?
And lastly, can you buy from the online store NewEgg, and do you have a Microcenter Store near by? Go on google maps and search Microcenter for a store near you, they are the BEST computer store...

I took my PC from crappy, couldn't run counter strike source on low settings at more than a frame per second, and for.... Oh, $300 same as you made a PC that runs Crysis, Battlefield Bad Company 2, Half Life 2, all at high settings and GTA4 at high/very high settings.
xavis : you are fucking clueless arent you. i guess thats typical of a ******.
    FRED : Permabanned

    Good riddance asshole!
