Default Question about wireless routers

ok well i dont even have a PSP yet, my walmart gets in shipment of them in 2 days.
But im going to buy one, ok anyway... on with the story.
I live in the middle of nowhere, but we still have DSL. I bought a router (wired) but since im getting a PSP i was thinking that if i bought a wireless router, could i sit by it and pick up on the waves with my PSP?
on a side note, is gaming online with wireless connections through the PSP laggy? it seems like it would be

Default Question about wireless routers

If you already got a router, then you only need a Wireless Accespoint ..

you should get a linksys wrt54gs its an awesome wirless router its just not compatible with xlink kai which is online gaming without the infastructure mode but its a good router and it picks up 802.11b and 802.11g signals i used it when i had 2.0 and still play twisted metal online with that router online mode on the psp isnt laggy its actually pretty good i play twisted online all the time

Default Question about wireless routers

o, do many ppl use "tunneling"?
see part of the reason i want to buy a PSP is because i love online gaming and i heard PSP has some badass online games, i guess i was wrong lol.
how many ppl have those games that u play online? is it like 2-10 on at a time or are there hundreds of servers to choose from like SOCOM 2 for PS2

Default Question about wireless routers

there is not cat5 port on the psp and i have never heard of any type of adapter that would work to let you connect a cat5 to a psp... sort of takes the portable out of the equation... =p So yes, you must use an 802.11b (only b or b and g, but not g alone) wireless connection.
