Default trouble with wifi

so my dad just bought a new wirless n router (the netgear next one) and its set for mixed mode with a wpa key (same as it was before we got the new one) and i cant seem to get online with my psp. i can find the network enter the key nut it just keeps saying connecting to access point then exchanging key info. it just repeats them till it times out. what do i need to do to have it work? i can get online at school and my friends house (unsecure networks)

One, don't double-post. There's an edit button on your post so you can change it. Two, are you sure your dad didn't put in MAC fitering? Other things to check, what firmware is your PSP? Did you double-check that the router is working in mixed mode? Is DHCP on the router turned on?
