Firmware Installed: Who cares?

Default Problem

Ok guys, sorry to beat the old drum here, I'm sure you have all seen this asked before over 3999999342343 times but I'm gonna ask because I really dont have the time right this moment to read through them <_<
Hope you dont get too pissed at me and someone can help.
Ok Im just trying to connect to the ol' network and I HAVE been able to connect before. Then Suddenly, Poof. It wont let me on online no more, Well I just set up another connection and it worked fine for another few weeks and it does it again, well of course I just made another connection and it works and then weeks later, it does it again, eventually I just gave up since I didnt have any online games at the time, but now I do and I wanna play but this time I try to make a new connection and I get this error: http://s57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...tion-error.png
I have no security on my network, its unsecured (yes, stupid, I know but I dont need sass.) This error comes up with whatever I do! I even went into the network settings and turned on Infrastructure mode on and tried to make a new connection! I am at wits end here.
There was one thing I can remember, My dad took a look at it once, brought out his laptop which has the router access to on it, he open the router settings Checked a box and told me to retry it, and it worked, but now its back to giving me this awful error. I dont know what he checked but if any of you have an idea, I think thats the solution to my problem, or if any of you have any other ideas please help me asap. >.<
Thanks in advance.

Wow what a prick, First of all this IS the tecH, with an H not a K, support section, secondly, why do I have to join some group of nerds to get an answer to my simple question? Its like some damn clan or something all I wanted was some fast help...sheesh. No wonder noone wants to stick around here sounds to me like you are all a bunch of stuck up assholes...
I figured hey I'd ask the REAL people my question and not talk to some automated bullshit robot at Sony.com. But nope, I come here and get bitched for asking a QUESTION in the QUESTION SECTION! God damn. and on that note Im outta here. Have fun people. I apologize to the people who aren't major dick holes here.

Ha Ha....I like that post.......Could be your ISP OR your settings...do you get an IP from your provider or do you have a static address? your ISP will sometimes change your IP every 2 weeks or so....AND they like to give you a new IP when you reset your modem...Crazy

Ohh Yeah,
And STOP LETTING YOUR DAD DO EVERYTHING FOR YOU.....

If you guys aren't going to help him, don't fucking post.. And the ones who did were completely wrong.

Considering it's a security error, make sure you have the correct WEP/WPA key first, if not your dad probably has it set to only allow certain mac addresses to connect, regardless of knowing the WEP/WPA key (if there is one).
