Default psp on airplanes

Hey was wondering if anyone has taken their psp on an airplane and had any trouble because of it's wireless capability? I know electronic devices that use wireless communication are supposed to be put in "airplane mode" while in-flight. But I'm not sure about the psp. Any answers or experience's are welcomed.

I used mines ok the plane when I went on vacation to Florida. I asked an air hostess if it was ok to use first and she said yes. I believe the wifi has to accept any interference from certain devices for safety reasons.

I used mine on the plane and was fine, I just made sure the wifi switch was off. Air Hostess didn't mind at all.

I think that connection thing is a just a bit of an overblown precaution. Cos by accident I had my phone on in my hand luggage, and even got a message in flight, yet the plane didn't crash!

yeah well you dont need to worry about the plane crashing from the phone, but what you have to worry about is mr.terrorist above me blowing the plane apart!!

i wouldnt think people would b aloud to bring things like psps onto plans, unless they scan it or something, becuase someone could just put some kinda bomb in one... do they scan everything or somethin (i would hope so)

They even have cell phone repeaters on planes now. They operate on a different band, but so far as I'm aware wifi should be relatively safe.

As someone has already mentioned it's a big thing in the electronics industry now that almost all electronic devices in the consumer domain be capable of accepting radio interference, unaltered, from any source even if such interference would cause the device to not function as intended. So your PSP should be fine... and so should the plane.

Yes your psp will most certainly work on a plane. But everyone else mentioned the obvious already. Just game on and enjoy your flight.

No there is no damage to the psp at all, thankfully. Your mem stick should be fine as well.
