thanx for the replies team , i might get a router at some point i dont want to attempt that method for a few reasons. I got the D-Link WiFi adapter for my WIImote to control Winamp and Windows Media Player Classic on PC it works like a charm , if it worked natively with PSP that would be a bonus.
