Is there homebrew that can take a wireless signal and use the psp as a modem for the wifi

You want the Psp to act a middle man or as a router. There is no homebrew. I think the psp only receives signals and not send them out...Though it may send them out.

PSP can send and receive signals, per the 802.11 standard. What he is wanting is a bridge, so he doesn't have to pay the $100 dollars for the wireless adapter, the best choice is go to Walmart, get a $50 dollar Linksys WRT54g and flash it with DD-WRT. Then in the firmware you can set it as a client bridge and then connect the Xbox to it via a cat-5 cable. I used to do this for my Ps2, 360 and Media Center machine before I ran cat-5 through the house.

I'm not a cheap bastard LOL I'm a teenager and still can't get a job in my state(parents won't consent) and I was looking for a bridge but thanks

If you have a laptop, you can use your wireless internet and then connect you 360 to your laptop. Google about it and you will see what I mean.
