This happened with my old fat PSP it never found the access point, even if the Wi-Fi Switch is turned on, it says an Internal Error has occured.. please help.

Yes of course. I have my Verzion FiOS Router. The PSP Slim I traded to my friend for his 1001 worked fine on it, picked up singals like nothin. Is this a defect flaw in the 1000's? If your wondering why I traded the 2000 it was because it had the TA-088 Motherboard.

hmm well the 1000's have no defect like this that i know of. maybe your wifi is set to only show up for certain mac addresses like mine. other than that maybe the wlan switch isnt working

Well the WLAN switch works, but is there a way I get let my MAC address through? And also, wouldn't it also find other routers in the area? Because my Slim did.

I found the problem..don't know how to fix it..I tried with my friends Fat PSP and the LAN Switch lit up green when it was on, mine doesn't.. Do I have to open up the PSP and fix it from there?

thats what i thought. probably a bad connection with the wlan switch. try opening it up and taking a look at the wires

I'm going to try to today, but I need an extremely small Philips Head Screwdriver. And plus the WLAN switch is extremely loose. This PSP was opened up before, because I checked and saw the warranty was voided under the battery. My friend gave it to me, when he bought it off a friend.

I opened it up, but I couldn't get to the LAN switch because it's under and I'm too scared to open it up again... Should I send it to Sony, or will they fix it, but also put a TA-088 Motherboard if they check my Firmware...? X.X

Don't be afraid of trying to get to this.

I've done this to mine to change from the existing wi-fi wire to an external wire.

To get a step by step on taking apart your PSP you should do a google search for
Seth Fogie wifi extender. He gives some great pics and instructions for taking apart your PSP to access the wifi.

lol tht happened to my old phat psp. after time or after droping it a couple times it will shake the wifi recever around and mess it up. thus the internal error occurs. my suggestion is sell it 2 some retarded kid and get a new 1 and buy a hard case for it :]
