How do you use your psp as a TV remote.

I read somewhere that you can use your psp as a remote for your TV, does anyone know how to do it.

Yep you use this Homebrew Application

File Details-PSP-Universal-Remote-PSP-Homebrew-Applications -

You need Custom Firmware and you have to have a Phat(1000 series) to use it.

you know DFS, the Irshell app is better seeing as it has a learning mode

true, but I can't believe they haven't worked on this app anymore, it still crashes, its just like with NesterJ the dev said he'd work on the 1.20beta and finish it up that was in 2006

GAME150 folder and if you're not using IRShell then you'll need the 1.5 kernel

I never liked IrShell for one reason... it's plugin trys to make it the default xmb some like it im sure but wish they would of made it a option not default

You can tun it off in recovery>plugin's but still

And the ir learning... On my tv using real remote learning power only turns it off
Just buggy... But if your lucky enough to find hex remote files for your tv then it's great

And you can't "learn" from Universal remotes

Hi....
As per psp as a TV remote i have some information regarding .... click psp/game inside you will see two folders UR and UR_%, highlight both of them and hit ctrl c (or right click and hit COPY)
start the usb connection
go to the psp/game150 folder
hit ctrl v (paste)
go back to the place where you unrard (?) the files and youll see the remotes folder. right click the folder and select COPY
this goes on the root of your memory stick (the root is where all the folders are.. PSP/ISO/PICTURES/VIDEO etc).. right click and hit PASTEexit the usb
go to the game menu on the psp, click Infrared Remote Control
when it opens, you need to set the hard keys.. use the dpad to navigate to what function you want performed with what key. once you decide, press that key.. now, you must scroll down and select the opposite function with a different key. once you do this, the psp remote code menu will appear on the left. scroll down and select the correct file for your equipment..
do the same for the rest of the keys and youre good to go.
