Any clue to this???
it was playing fine 2 hours ago...trying to play Resistance Retribution online (infrastructure) but every time it tries to connect (after it shows my playstation network id) it says "a system software update for the psp system is required"...wtf!?!? i have a phat, 5.00 m33-6 installed and then i tried Socom and it worked fine...
any ideas or anyone having this problem with R.R.??
update to my problem...Socom works fine, but i get the same message when trying to go to playstation network account management

Simply update to 5.50 GEN-A if all you play is pirated games. |

Did you read [Released] Custom Firmware 5.50GEN-A - eXophase.com Forums ? You messed up somehow. Anyways just reflash your firmware back to 5.00 M33 then upgrade back to 5.50 Gen-A |

it's flashing now...i turned off all my plugins, put my custom theme back to normal, went to game folder and ran it. it loaded it up, restart itself and said it was 5.5...went to playstation network and kept getting that error. psp is done now, back to 5.00 m33-3
on that page you posted, i clicked on this link:
Download Custom Firmware 5.50GEN-A build 4-A (Full) |

Well only thing i can honestly think of is that your psp is deactivated again. You'll need to activate it again through a ps3 or playstation store via PC. You could try the "Custom Firmware 5.50GEN-A build 4-A (Full)" Also the 5.50 eboot you download could be corrupted. Try downloading a new one. |

tried to go to playstation network on my pc but the sign up page is under maintenance, so MAYBE that's the problem with that...??? idk, i'm going to be pissed if i can't get this going again
5.50 genA (full) is installed...didn't do the FIX download cause it says that's only for slims anyway. so i'll try again later on, maybe that's the connection error's cause to register on the psp...*shrugs shoulders* |

You know what...the 5.50 Gen-A Build 4 isn't what you need. This is it. File Details-Custom-Firmware-5.50GEN-A-PSP - |

Make sure you renamed your folders and have the most to update emulators. As for PSX Games....you'll need the 5.50 gen-a popsloader. File Details-Popsloader-5.50GEN-PSP-Homebrew-Applications -
If that doesn't work, try a regular popsloader using the diff firmwares....
This is probably the reasons i never updated past 4.01 M33-2 w/ 1.5 kernel |

got the psx games working but the emulators need a 1.5 kernel to run them...that's the thing i'm stuck on now..
