Default Can't Talk on Socom 2....NAT issues??

I've had my psp modded for almost a year. I've never been able to talk. I heard that it could be a port forwarding or NAT issue.

I fixed my PS3 and 360 NAT issues a couple days ago and they both work soooooooo much better online. Less log on time and no more random disconnects. So I'm assuming it's the same problem with the PSP.

Can someone please let me know what to do to fix it on my PSP. I just used DMZ for the 360 and port forwarding for the PS3. I'm sooo at a loss with my PSP and it's pissing me off...lol.

Thank you for any help ahead of time.

Wow lol. You have the same exact problem as me. I also play socom and I have problems using my mic and hearing others talk. However this is only for socom ftb1. When i play socom ftb2 i can use my mic and hear people talking. Since you have used portforwarding with the ps3 then you should already know about statick IP address. You should create a static IP ADDRESS for your psp. If your not sure how ill show you.

Step 1: Go to network settings and scan a network.
Step 2: Choose your router.
Step 3: When you get to Adress Settings you will see EASY and CUSTOM. You want to choose CUSTOM.
Step 4: Now you want to choose MANUAL. Dont choose automatic or PPPoE.
Step 5: Create you own static ip address for your psp. Example(192.168.0.111)-d link or (192.168.1.11)-linkys. Depending on what router you have depends on what the 3rd number should be.
Step 6: Subnet mask stays the same and for defualt router just put your routers ip address. For primary DNS put your routers Ip address again. Click next and dont worry about secondary DNS.
Step 7: Do not use proxy server and choose do not start internet browser.
Step 8: Test the internet connection. It should pass.
Step 9: Im not sure what the ports are for socom 2 but just look it on GOOGLE. Once you have the codes go under PORT FORWARDing in your router and insert the ports. Make sure you put the static ip address for the psp you createed. And that should do it.
Any questions PM or reply.

i just did all the port forwarding after googling the info. internet is faster and all but it still doesn't let me talk in socom. i think there is something wrong with my remote.....i'll have to get ahold of another one to see. this really sucks.

thank you for your help though......it was a start in the right direction. i would have had to done the port forwarding anyway :-)
