help on settings for dns ?

i have settings at ip adress which im not telling
subnet 255.255.255.0
default router0.0.0.0
primarydns192.168.1.1 (what the hell is a dns and how do i get it or locate one ?
secoundary dns 0.0.0.0
mac adress ********* etc i can connect but when i start web browser up it said failed to connect t primary dns ?? any help on this

First you must make sure you are connect to a wireless network. Second your default gateway/router should be 192.168.1.1 Third you primary DNS 192.168.1.100 and you don not have to worry about the secondary dns. What is dns? DNS is jow you find stuff on the internet like pspmod.com or google.com it looks up the name and finds the IP Address of the site. Unless you know all the ip address of the websites then you will come to learn to love DNS.
